Imagine a world where you can't go to school because of air raids, or because the camp you live in only has basic facilities, or the party in charge of your country says females are not allowed an education. This lack of hope can be overwhelming and the uncertainty for your future becomes all-encompassing.
Our Scholarship Programme supports refugees from war-torn and displaced communities, offering them an opportunity to study in a diverse, safe and inclusive environment.
This year, we are supporting students from displaced backgrounds such as Myanmar, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Syria, and Palestine.
The impact of a scholarship
Scholarships have a huge impact not only on the student but also on their family and the whole UWC community.
Our Scholarship Programme is completely funded by donations, we receive no Government funding and rely solely on the generosity of our community who wish to give the gift of education.
