Forever Scholarships - endowed gifts
The UWC Endowment Fund is a transformative fundraising initiative dedicated to ensuring a sustainable future for UWC scholarships. By establishing a reliable, perpetual source of funding, UWC Atlantic aims to secure the resources needed to fund four forever scholarship students at the college - changing the lives of talented students for generations to come.
Our Goal: $5 Million
To achieve this ambitious vision, we must raise $5 million by November 2025 to unlock $2.25 million in match funding.
Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of the van Otterloo family, Jill Longson, Colin Habgood, and other anonymous donors, your gift will go even further through these match funding opportunities:
- The first $800,000 raised will receive a 100% match - meaning every $100,000 donated becomes $200,000*
- The remaining donations will receive a 50% match.
With this match funding, we have a unique opportunity to nearly DOUBLE UWC Atlantic’s endowed funds and support FOUR FOREVER scholarships at the college in perpetuity.

How your endowed scholarship gift works
The UWC Endowment Fund, managed by UWC Endowment Management (UWCEM) on a not-for-profit basis, is dedicated to securing the future of UWC scholarships. It targets 7% growth and 3-5% distribution, with assets and returns remaining the property of the investing UWC colleges. Exclusively open to UWC entities, the fund achieved an impressive 9.5% return in USD during its first half-year of operation in 2024.
